Why Frisco tops our EDDM list
We rank every US city of 150,000 people or more on what we call the EDDM Route Value score. It weighs how many homeowner mailboxes a city has, how many people just moved in, how new the housing is and how far the city sits from one of our print hubs.
Frisco came out first, with 71.4 out of 100. No other large city on the list has housing this new, and the Arlington hub that prints your order is about 33 miles away.
Frisco in numbers
Frisco has 219,304 residents in 77,208 households, according to the Census Bureau's 2020-2024 survey estimates. Owners live in 50,878 of those homes, which is 65.9%.
The housing is strikingly new. 65,500 of the city's 80,353 housing units went up in 2000 or later, a full 81.5%, and the median build year is 2009.
A city full of first impressions
In the same survey, 15.5% of Frisco residents lived somewhere else a year earlier. That is 33,633 people still choosing a dentist, a hair salon, a pizza place and someone to treat the lawn.
A postcard that arrives in those first months has very little competition from habit. Mail the same routes every few weeks and your name is the one they already know when the need comes up.
Streets of houses, mailbox after mailbox
55,698 of Frisco's housing units are single-family detached houses, 69.3% of the total. On most carrier routes that means nearly every EDDM piece lands with a household that owns its home and makes its own buying decisions.
For a home service company, it also means yard signs at every job are seen by the neighbors who share the same builder, the same age of roof and the same sprinkler system.
Who mails in and around Frisco
County Business Patterns counted 806 real estate offices and 802 dental offices in Collin County in 2023. The county also had 975 full-service and 1,078 limited-service restaurants, 351 beauty salons and 234 fitness and recreational sports centers.
Those counts cover only businesses with paid staff, so solo agents and stylists add to the competition. See our guides for real estate agents, dental practices and fitness studios.
A first Frisco mailing, priced
2,500 6.5″ × 9″ EDDM postcards cost $359 to print, and 10,000 cost $779. Shipping 2,500 of them from Arlington to ZIP 75034 costs $60.56 by UPS Ground.
Postage is paid to USPS when you drop off the bundles. The EDDM cost calculator adds printing, shipping and postage for any number of Frisco households.
Cards and signs for a growing market
Agents, coaches and contractors in a city this new meet strangers every day. Thick 16pt business cards cost $69 for 2,500, and a set of 10 yard signs costs $150.
If your neighborhood has an HOA, check its sign rules before an open house or a job-site sign goes up.
Choosing Frisco routes
Look up your ZIP on the USPS EDDM map and open the routes nearest your shop or service area. Each route shows its residential count, so you can add up a mailing before you order.
Start with the routes closest to you and widen the circle once you see which ones call. Our guide to planning a first EDDM mailing walks through it.
