Page counts go up in fours
A saddle-stitched booklet is made from folded sheets nested inside each other and stapled through the fold, so every sheet adds four pages. That is why the options are 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 and 28.
If your content lands on 18 pages, plan for 20 and use the extra pages for an order form or a notes page.
Pocket, standard or magazine size
The 5.5″ × 8.5″ booklet is the most economical, $749 for 2,500 at 8 pages, and suits programs and small catalogs. The 6″ × 9″ adds a bit of room for $789.
Full-size 8.5″ × 11″ and 9″ × 12″ catalogs read like a magazine. At 28 pages, 2,500 letter-size catalogs cost $2,989.
Paper and binding
Pages print on 100lb stock with AQ coating, stapled twice through the spine. Saddle stitching lies reasonably flat when opened, so readers can browse spreads without fighting the binding.
The same stock runs through the cover and the inside pages, which keeps the price low and the booklet light enough to mail or hand out.
Layout and design
Catalog design is priced per page: $49 a page for 5.5″ × 8.5″ and $69 a page for the larger sizes. You approve a proof of every spread before printing.

How many to print
Catalogs go out of date when prices or products change, so print what you will use before the next update. A run of 2,500 suits most small businesses, and the price per booklet drops quickly at 5,000 and 10,000.
If you are torn between two page counts, the price builder shows both in seconds.
